What Helen Offers:

Helen provides assessment and psychological therapy. Therapy involves working together to build an understanding of how the emotional difficulties started and what is keeping them going. The goals of therapy will be tailored to your values and priorities and the work will be informed by models of psychological therapy which are appropriate for the problems and the goals that you have.

Helen is also sometimes asked to see patients for assessment before surgery and can provide support to patients making decisions about treatment. Her area of specialism is clinical health psychology; supporting people when psychological difficulties are linked to dealing with physical illness. She also provides more general psychological intervention for depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and other issues.

Presently, she works in private practice in Liverpool city centre, Spire Murrayfield Hospital on the Wirral and also provides psychology services to the Private Clinic at the Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology. She receives referrals from medical colleagues and patients can also self-refer.

Helen is currently recognised by AXA-PPP, Aviva, BUPA, Cigna, WPA and Vitality Health. If you are with an insurer not mentioned here, please let her know as it is usually possible for Helen to be recognised by another insurer without any undue delay.
